1. assist the HKSAR to build Hong Kong into a global virtual assets trading center,

 

2. assist the HKSAR and the virtual asset exchange industry to comply with and align with the latest requirements dispatched or circulated by the relevant international organizations or guidelines setting regimes,

 

3. assist the industry to improve overall compliance standard to promote compliance management,

 

4. assist the industry in improving its compliance requirements by using appropriate technology and tools,

 

5. maintain and protect the common interests of the industry and establish a healthy image of the industry in the international community,

 

6. assist the industry to raise practitioners’ awareness on anti-fraud, to prevent and combat telecom crimes such as fraud and money laundering,

 

7. assist HKSAR in matters related to legislation, judiciary and enforcement by giving pragmatic suggestions,

 

8. assist industry new joiners to conduct business, by providing industrial best practice advice and by creating a good business environment,

 

9. provide and distribute important industry information and relevant news to practitioners to enhance the their competitiveness in the market,

 

10. strengthen communication between the industry and various sectors such as banks, financial institutions, governments law enforcement agencies, and cryptocurrency blockchain data analytic companies, by exchanging important information and intelligence,

 

11. assist and strengthen the multi-party intelligence exchange work of Hong Kong law enforcement agencies in analyzing criminals' money laundering through virtual assets, to effectively cut off the key chains of criminals and cut off illegal income sources of the crime syndicates,

12. organize cryptocurrency seminars and lectures for the public and industry practitioners to participate, to strengthen investor education,

 

13. cultivate talents, by organizing certification courses, to enhance the professionalism and innovation capabilities of practitioners,

 

14. liaise and cooperate with other blockchain or cryptocurrency associations to organize different activities and engage in marketing cooperation, to accelerate the investment and economic activities of virtual asset or digital economy industries in Hong Kong
